The Baldwin Hills host nearly 450 acres of protected parkland
including the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, the Ball Field Complex, Baldwin Hills
Scenic Overlook, and Culver City Park. Rising 500 feet above the Los Angeles Basin, this
expanding natural oasis is easily accessible to millions of residents, providing unique
opportunities to enjoy hiking, bird watching, and breathtaking views in a natural setting
without having to leave the city.
The Baldwin Hills Conservancy is working in partnership with California State Parks and
the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation to acquire the remaining open
space in the area and develop a unified two-square mile natural park, recreation and open
space destination for current and future generations. |
